This book aims to teach the technique of solving certain forms of partial differential equations, initial-boundary value problems of partial differential equations, and certain forms of systems of partial differential equations.
The necessary theory is developed clearly and without verbiage, while special emphasis is placed on the various solution methods.
Because the subject of differential equations with partial derivatives is quite extensive, the content of this book was limited to only the material taught in the Universities and Polytechnics of the country and which roughly concerns the linear partial differential equations of the first or second order of functions of two variables. It was considered appropriate not to use a single notation for the functions (of two variables) or their partial derivatives, or for the formulas of the Laplace or Fourier transforms, because no single notation is used in the Greek literature.
The book is divided into six chapters. At the end of each chapter there are solved exercises, while at the end of the sixth chapter there are also general solved exercises.
