This book, in addition to theater architecture and its history, deals with dramatic poetry and its genres, dramatic poets and their works, dramatic contests, scenography, direction, theatrical dancers and singers and actors.

A difficult historical research was involved in order to present the names of female actors and female theater dancers and singers. Female dramatic poets are still presented and the existence of subpoenas is mentioned for the first time in a Greek book.
