The purpose of this book is to present the purely mathematical work of the Pythagorean School. A work free from philosophical and religious offshoots, from spiritual laws from "numerology" (the theory of esotericism) and "numerology".

The content has been derived from the testimonies of Ancient Greek mathematical philosophers and writers (Nicomacheus, Theon, Plato, Archytas, Aristotle, Proclus, Eudoxus, Theatites, Euclid, Simplicius, Eudemus, Geminus, Apollodorus, Speusippus, Iamblichus, Aetius, Aristoxenus and Plutarch), as well as by historians of mathematics (Thomas Heath, Gino Loria, Herman Diels, E. Stamati, N. Artemiadis, etc.).
