The purpose of this book is to present to the general readership, but also to scholars of the history of medicine, the physicians of Ancient Greece, men and women, to outline their work and to make known many of those who, although they contributed to the foundation of more humanistic than the sciences, they remained, however, for many reasons, unknown.
