During the period of the Arab renaissance (7th - 15th century) Arab intellectuals fervently studied a large number of Ancient Greek scientific works, many of which they translated into Arabic. These translations helped to save a significant number of works of which the Greek manuscripts had been lost.
For the first time in the Greek and international bibliography, the titles of a large number of physical-mathematical and medical books which have been translated into Arabic are presented in this book. These are 211 works by 61 Ancient Greek authors. This is due to the fact that, in addition to the extensive Greek and foreign language relevant bibliography, Evangelos Spandagos , from the year 1999 onwards, has carried out direct and indirect research in various city libraries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The research concerns the identification of Arabic manuscripts that contain translations or commentaries of Ancient Greek texts that have not been translated into another language.
