The purpose of this book is to present to the discerning public as well as to scholars of the history of science 13 analects (select texts) which refer to Mathematics, Astronomy and Natural Sciences in Ancient Greece and Byzantium. The 11th analekto refers to the works of four Byzantine mathematicians.

Four factors contributed to the selection of the texts. They are:

a) The restoration of incorrect knowledge.

b) The presentation of unknown scientists.

c) The underlining of the level of the positive sciences of Ancient Greece and secondly of Byzantium.

d) The provision of knowledge of a significant range in a limited reading time.
