This volume contains books 1', 15' and 3' of the "Elements", which deal with Stereometry, a branch of mathematics which, unfortunately, is no longer taught in Greek schools. More specifically, book 1 investigates the properties and relationships of straight lines to planes or planes to each other as well as the properties of parallelograms and prisms. The eleventh book investigates relationships of solid shapes with the help, for the most part, of the method of exhaustion. In the mth book, the study of regular polygons inscribed in a circle continues and the inscribing of regular polyhedra on a sphere is studied.
