Foreword by Professor Emeritus of the University of Athens Maro K. Papathanasiou .
This work includes book i' of the "Elements", which contains the theory of symmetric and asymmetric quantities and explicit and implicit quantities. The asymmetry was discovered by the great geometer, father of Pythagoras Number Theory.
The i'th book is considered (and indeed is), the most difficult book of the "Elements". The Dutch mathematician Simon Stevin called it "The cross of the martyrdom of mathematics", while the French mathematician Jean Montucla doubts whether in the time of Euclid there would have been a mathematician who would have dared to follow the great geometer into the "dark labyrinth" of book. MF Wœpche considers that "nothing, of course, is more beautiful or more perfect than the order and parallelism of the hexadecimals of book i; everywhere in it shines the profound systematic genius of the author of the 'Elements'".
