This two-volume collection of experiments, each accompanied by a short theoretical introduction, deals with the main branches of radiochemistry – general radiochemistry, the chemistry of nuclear transformations, the chemistry of radioactive elements, and applied radiochemistry – included in the general radiochemistry curricula and in a number of other practical courses.

The general introduction outlines certain basic concepts, discusses safety conditions and general rules for work with radioactive isotopes, and describes the design of a laboratory.

This volume contains the parts three and four. Part three is devoted to the chemistry of radioactive elements. It contains experiments in the chemistry of technetium, uranium, thorium and the products of their radioactive transformations, and also in the chemistry of neptunium and plutonium.

Part four consists of experiments involving the use of radioactive isotopes in analytical, physical, inorganic, an organic chemistry.

The introductions to the chapters and individual experiments are not intended as complete discussions of the relevant branch of radiochemistry, but contain only the basic information needed to understand the experiments. These introduction in no way replace textbooks on radiochemistry.
